After a 2-2 weekend in L.A., the Arizona Wildcats saw very little movement in the national polls for yet another week.
Here’s a look at where they stand after their first week of conference play.
Arizona Baseball rankings
Poll | Ranking | Previous |
---|---|---|
Poll | Ranking | Previous |
Baseball America | 17 | 17 |
Perfect Game | 21 | 19 |
D1Baseball | 18 | 17 |
Collegiate Baseball | 19 | 19 |
USA Today Coaches Poll | 19 | 18 |
RPI | 15 | 10 |
This weekend, Arizona goes to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers. OSU is ranked No. 1 in the RPI and in the D1Baseball poll, T-1 in Collegiate Baseball’s rankings, and No. 2 in the BA and PG polls. So yeah, pretty big weekend series ahead for the Wildcats.
OSU is coming off of a dominant weekend sweep in Phoenix of ASU, and was just one of two Pac-12 teams to sweep their opening series (Washington over Utah the other).
First up for Arizona this week though are the New Mexico State Aggies, who travel to Tucson for a single midweek game on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6 PM PT at Hi Corbett Field.
