Who’s ready to play ball?
The Arizona Wildcats have released their 2021 schedule, a 56-game slate that features 34 contests at Hi Corbett Field and begins Feb. 19.
The UA opens play with an 8-game homestand, hosting Ball State Feb. 19-22 and SE Louisiana Feb. 25-28. Both series will begin with a pair of 6 p.m. games, with a 1 p.m. start for Game 3 and 10 a.m. for the series finale.
Pac-12 play begins March 19 with a 3-game set at UCLA, and Arizona’s first Pac-12 home series is March 26-28 against Oregon. The Wildcats also host Cal, USC, Utah and Washington in 3-game series and have a single non-conference game against ASU on April 6.
Arizona’s schedule features 19 games against teams ranked in Collegiate Baseball’s preseason poll, and 17 of their games are against teams that appeared in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
As of now, fans are not allowed at Pac-12 games due to a league mandate, but that policy is always being re-evaluated.
The regular season ends May 29, with the NCAA Selection Show set for May 30. First round play is June 4-7, with Super Regionals on tap for June 11-14 and the College World Series slated for June 19-30.
