Arizona’s series win over Oregon last weekend was big on offense, with the Wildcats scoring 33 runs in three games at Hi Corbett.
Among those who shined at the plate was freshman catcher Daniel Susac, whose efforts were honored Tuesday when he was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.
Susac went 10 for 18 last week against Oregon and Loyola Marymount, hitting four home runs and driving in 10 runs while posting a 1.389 slugging percentage.
For the season Susac is hitting .313 with five homers and 24 RBI along with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Susac is Arizona’s second Pac-12 Player of the Week. First baseman Branden Boissiere picked up the honor on March 2.
Arizona (16-7, 3-3 Pac-12) returns to action Thursday at ASU for the start of a 3-game series. The teams then face off at Hi Corbett on April 6 in a nonconference game.
