The July 1 deadline has passed for college baseball players to submit paperwork to enter the NCAA transfer portal in time to be eligible for next season. And though some more names could become official later on, Arizona now has a final tally of players from the 2021 squad who have done so.

All told, Arizona has 20 players in the portal, including 12 that were part of the Wildcats’ 27-man roster for the College World Series in Omaha.

One of the latest additions, outfielder Ryan Holgate, isn’t expected to return for next season due to the strong likelihood he will be picked in the 2021 MLB Draft that’s set for July 11-13. Holgate is ranked 106th in Baseball America’s list of the top 500 draft prospects, the highest-ranked of any UA player, first baseman Branden Boissiere—who entered the portal earlier this week—the second-highest at No. 144.

Late addition Garrett Irvin, a fourth-year junior left-handed pitcher who was Arizona’s No. 2 starter, isn’t ranked by BA but could either get drafted or sign as an undrafted free agent.

The other draft-eligible Wildcats in BA’s Top 500 are right-handed pitcher Chase Silseth (No. 145), 2B Kobe Kato (No. 249) and CF Donta’ Williams (No. 324). The draft is 20 rounds this season.

The biggest surprise among the latest portal additions is freshman lefty Riley Cooper, who had established himself as one of the Wildcats’ top relief arms. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him, like freshman slugger Jacob Berry, following Jay Johnson to LSU—or Cooper could end up at Texas A&M, where former UA pitching coach Nate Yeskie is now the associate head coach—but their presence in the portal does not guarantee they’re leaving Arizona.

Here’s the full list of UA players in the portal, according to D1Baseball’s Transfer Tracker:
