Arizona basketball coaches will conduct an in-home visit with big man Caleb Swanigan on Wednesday evening, which adds a little bit of a twist to the 2015 recruiting class.
In home with the Arizona coaching staff tonight
— Caleb Swanigan (@Biggs_Swanigan) September 17, 2014
Swanigan is ranked No. 12 by SB Nation's composite rankings. He is ranked as high as eighth and as low as 17 by the four big recruiting services at ESPN, Rivals, Scout and 247. The 6'8, 275 pound center from Homestead High School in Indiana is listed by 247's crystal ball as a heavy lean to go to Michigan State. Kentucky and Kansas are in the mix as well, and while Arizona is listed as 'cool,' perhaps it isn't out of the conversation just yet.
Arizona received a commitment from stretch big man Chance Comanche over the past weekend but is still in the hunt for a fifth member of its 2015 class. All signs point to that being a big man. The Wildcats are also in the running to land top-20 players Ivan Rabb, Stephen Zimmerman and Carlton Bragg.
Swanigan is a big-bodied center who would fit well alongside a player like Comanche, whose thin build and stroke would complement a more traditional big man.
Along with Comanche, the Wildcats have received 2015 commitments from perimeter players Allozo Trier, Ray Smith and Justin Simon.
