After putting up a combined 42 points, eight rebounds, and two assists against Mizzou and Fresno State, Arizona Wildcats freshman Allonzo Trier was named the Pac-12's Player of the Week. He shot 72% in those two games, and the 27 points against Fresno were the most by an Arizona freshman since Derrick Williams had 28 points in a game in 2009. Five different players from five different schools have now won the award so far this year

- Arizona's defense will look to prove itself on Saturday with Scooby Wright III back. Rich Rodriguez said Monday that both Wright and Anu Solomon are good to go for the New Mexico Bowl
- Ted Miller says the Wildcats' bowl game is more important than ASU's and UW's. So there's that
- The Arizona/UNM rivalry dates all the way back to 1908, and has some crazy stories and legends surrounding it
