It wasn’t always easy for the Arizona Wildcats in Honolulu but the Wildcats beat the Michigan State Spartans to improve to 7-0 in the state of Hawaii under Sean Miller. Miles Bridges had seven points before Arizona had any, and Michigan State raced out to an early 17-2 advantage. Izzo’s squad grabbed six offensive rebounds before the Wildcats grabbed their first.
After four and a half minutes of scoreless basketball and two quick fouls on Kadeem Allen, Kobi Simmons entered the game and scored Arizona’s first bucket on his way to a team-high 18 points off the bench.
Arizona would weather a number of highlight dunks by Bridges, and a game-tying, desperation three that seemed to hit every part of the rim, to put themselves in position to win the game in the final seconds. Check out the highlights.
