It’s not unusual to see recruits sitting in the courtside seats next to the Arizona Wildcats bench in McKale Center.
It is unusual when of those recruits’ dad is NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
In the picture above, there is Shaq sitting next to his son Shareef O’Neal, who is a five-star power forward in the 2018 recruiting class.
According to 247Sports, Shareef currently holds an Arizona offer, though after the game, that was a fact that was questioned by some Wildcat writers.
The other offers to keep an eye on are LSU and UCLA. Word is that Shaq would like his son to attend the school he did (LSU), while Shareef’s mom is more about UCLA. Shareef himself seems to prefer Arizona.
It also looks like the two had a good time while in Tucson this weekend.
The vibe in Tucson is great! Everyone here is showing a lot of love ✊— Shareef O'Neal (@cynreef) November 19, 2016
Here’s a look at some Shareef O’Neal highlights:
And then of course there was some commotion around the town about Shaq being around.
I'M FUCKING SITTING NEXT TO SHAQUILLE O'NEAL RIGHT NOW— elsie garcia (@elsiebuns) November 19, 2016
And then there’s this I guess:
Last time Shaq was at McKale (1991) he lost 87-67 but told UA's Sean Rooks: 'I don't care how good you play, I'm still the No. 1 draft pick'— Greg Hansen (@ghansen711) November 19, 2016
