Allonzo Trier’s season debut continues to be on hold.
The Arizona Wildcats’ sophomore guard is not with the team in Las Vegas, and will not play Thursday against Santa Clara, according to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
Allonzo Trier is not here with #arizonawildcats so that'll be five missed games and counting bc of his eligibility issue

Counting Thursday, Trier will have missed Arizona’s first five games for unspecified reasons, and presumably will not play Friday either when the Wildcats play their final game of the Las Vegas Invitational.
With Trier out, Arizona will continue to be limited to eight healthy scholarship players, which is especially significant considering they play in back-to-back days this weekend.
Trier averaged 14.8 points per game as a freshman last season — the most among Arizona’s returning players — and was named to the Jerry West Award watch list before this season started.
The UA has made no statement on Trier’s status and a potential return date remains unclear.
The Trier-less Wildcats (4-0) tip off against Santa Clara (3-2) on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. MST. The game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
