After playing a few games in the NBA Summer League, former Arizona Wildcats forward Ryan Anderson has announced he will be going overseas to begin his professional basketball career.

Last year, Anderson averaged a team-high 15.3 points and 10.1 rebounds for the Wildcats. In four Orlando Summer League games, he managed to put up 5.8 points and 3 rebounds per contest while getting an average of just 11.3 minutes of action.

Antwerp had a record of 14-16 last year, and were led in scoring by former Cal State Fullerton player Kwame Vaughn. Former Iowa forward Melsahn Basabe was the Giants’ leading rebounder, and former Dayton guard Kevin Dillard led the team in assists.

The Giants also hold the record for the biggest crowd in Belgian basketball history. 17,135 people went to their game on January 31st, 2015 against Spirou Charleroi.

Good luck to Ryan as he pursues his dream of being a professional basketball player.
