After scoring a big win against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, improving to 7-0 in Pac-12 play in the process, and adding Allonzo Trier back into the fold, the Arizona Wildcats took an expected big jump up in the rankings this week.

Arizona is now 7th in this week’s AP Poll, and 9th in the Coaches Poll.

Here’s a look at the full AP Top 25:

Arizona gained seven spots this week after being ranked 14th the previous week.

UA is now the highest-ranked Pac-12 team in the poll. UCLA drops back to No. 8, and the Oregon Ducks sit at No. 10. The USC Trojans are still receiving votes, essentially coming in at 33.

As far as past opponents go, the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs are third in the rankings, and the Butler Bulldogs are now 11th after narrowly escaping in overtime against DePaul on Saturday.

The Wildcats still have one game left against each of the Pac-12 teams getting votes, with only the Oregon meeting being on the road. As the numbers now show, this kind of makes Arizona the favorite to win the conference, especially if Dillon Brooks is out for the UA/UO meeting.

Arizona is back in action on Thursday night, hosting the Washington State Cougars at 7:30 PM MT.
