The injury bug is biting the Arizona Wildcats in Spain.

Rawle Alkins sat out Wednesday’s exhibition vs. the Mataro All-Stars for precautionary reasons with a left shoulder strain, while Emmanuel Akot and Kory Jones left the contest with injuries of their own.

Akot’s injury is a minor knee strain, according to the UA. The freshman sat out the second half after racking up two assists and a rebound.

Jones is still being evaluated, per the school.

The sophomore walk-on entered the game with roughly a minute left in the fourth quarter, and got twisted up and fell to the floor, where he immediately clutched his left leg.

The injury appeared to be serious, and Jones had to be helped off the floor.

The Wildcats beat the All-Stars 99-74 and play their final game of their Spain tour Friday at 10 a.m. MST against Mataro Parc Boet in Barcelona.

Talbott Denny, who is working his way back from an ACL injury suffered last fall, has not played in Spain.
