Experts think the UA is the school to beat

Five-star wing Josh Green will announce his college decision Thursday at 2 p.m. EST, he announced on Twitter.

Green’s Final Six consists of the Arizona Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina Tar Heels, USC Trojans, Villanova Wildcats, and UNLV Rebels. The 6-foot-6 Green is the No. 10 player in the 2019 class and No. 3 small forward, per 247Sports composite rankings.

UNC was long considered the favorite for Green, and he took an official visit there a couple weeks ago, but Arizona is trending as the frontrunner now, garnering five of the nine Crystal Ball predictions.

Recruiting gurus Evan Daniels and Josh Gershon both recently predicted Green will pick Arizona.

Green has unofficially visited Arizona several times and is scheduled to take his official visit on Oct. 12. He is expected to be accompanied by UA commit and AAU teammate Nico Mannion. The close relationship between the two is a major plus for Arizona.

Green attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida but lived in Phoenix before that. He is originally from Australia.

Arizona’s recruiting class, which also consists of three-star center Christian Koloko, is currently ranked 24th nationally by 247Sports. A commitment from Green would result in a jump to eighth nationally.
