College basketball’s early signing period began Wednesday, with prospects from all over the country putting pen to paper and finalizing what to this point had been non-binding verbal commitments to various schools.
The Arizona Wildcats have four players committed in the 2019 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 3 in the country by 247Sports. So far one of those recruits is locked in: 5-star point guard Nico Mannion.
The 6-foot-3 Mannion, from Phoenix, is the No. 13 player in the country and the top-rated point guard in his class. He committed to Arizona in September, a move that was followed by three other players pledging to the Wildcats in the coming weeks, giving them the No. 3 class in the country for 2019 per 247Sports.
Those other three players—5-star forward Josh Green, 4-star shooting guard Terry Armstrong an 3-star center Christian Koloko—have yet to turn in their national letters of intent. Green is expected to sign on Friday, according to basketball insider Adam Zagoria, while there’s been no word on Armstrong and Koloko’s plans.
The early signing period runs through Nov. 21. After that players cannot sign until April 17.
