The NBA Draft is a day away and by now most experts have made their final projections.
So let’s see where they think the Arizona Wildcats’ prospects will be selected.
Deandre Ayton
- CBS Sports — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- Sports Illustrated — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- Sporting News — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- USA Today — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- Tankathon.com — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- Yahoo! Sports — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- The Ringer — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- The Athletic — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
- NBADraft.net — No. 1 overall (Phoenix Suns)
Ayton is going to be the No. 1 pick. Plain and simple.
Rawle Alkins
- Sporting News — No. 47 overall (Los Angeles Lakers)
- Sports Illustrated — No. 37 overall (Sacramento Kings)
- NBADraft.net — No. 42 overall (Detroit Pistons)
- The Athletic — No. 48 overall (Minnesota Timberwolves)
- Yahoo! Sports — No. 40 overall (Brooklyn Nets)
- Tankathon.com — No. 45 overall (Charlotte Hornets)
- The Ringer — No. 36 overall (New York Knicks)
Alkins’ stock has been pretty consistent throughout the pre-draft process, and it looks like he will be selected in the early- to mid-second round.
Allonzo Trier
Not one two-round mock draft has Trier getting selected, but his scoring ability should make him one of the most coveted undrafted free agents.
More than likely he will get a chance to compete in NBA Summer League and we’ll see where it goes from there.
The draft begins Thursday at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN.
