Maybe that team will be Luke Walton’s Los Angeles Lakers?
L.A. brought in Trier for a second workout this week, according to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, and the Arizona guard apparently shot much better in that one than in his first audition for the team.

The Lakers are now in better position to draft Trier, too. They acquired the 39th pick from the Sixers on Wednesday night in exchange for a 2019 selection, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Maybe the Lakers are just trying to stockpile assets so they can trade for someone like Kawhi Leonard, or maybe they just really like a prospect in the second-round range.
L.A. now has picks Nos. 39 and 47 in the second round, and could use Trier’s shooting. They were 29th in the league in 3-point percentage last season.
We’re not saying Trier to the Lakers is going to happen, but the timing of that trade and workout certainly is interesting.
