Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will miss Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday as he continues to be hampered by a knee injury, head coach Steve Kerr confirmed before the game.

It is the sixth straight game Iguodala has missed, though Kerr told reporters that he is “optimistic” that the former Wildcat will play at some point during the Finals.

The Warriors could definitely use him. Their margin of victory has been extremely small recently.

They were down 3-2 to the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals before winning two straight, and could have easily dropped Game 1 of the Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers if not for a bad call, missed free throw, and/or J.R. Smith losing his mind in the final seconds of regulation.

Not to mention Iguodala has given LeBron James trouble in recent years, and James posted 51 points against the Iguodala-less Warriors in Game 1.
