It’s good to be Deandre Ayton right now.
He was the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft and gets to play for the Phoenix Suns who are sort of his hometown team, he signed a multi-million dollar endorsement deal with Puma, and now he’s throwing out the first pitch at an Arizona Diamondbacks game.
Take a look:

Ayton has some interesting mechanics and his pitch appeared to be just off the corner, but we will cut him some slack because it can’t be easy to throw a baseball accurately when your hands are as big as his. (Seriously, look at the picture above. It’s like he’s throwing a golf ball.)
Ayton becomes the tallest pitcher in Diamondbacks’ history, surpassing the legendary Randy Johnson.
Ayton returns to the basketball court Friday, July 6 when the Suns open NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
