Highly coveted five-star point guard Nico Mannion narrowed his list to four schools on Saturday. They are the Arizona Wildcats, Villanova Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, and Marquette Golden Eagles.
Previously, Mannion was also considering Vanderbilt, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Utah, and Kansas. North Carolina and Kentucky entered the picture a couple weeks ago, too, but they are not an option, either.
Mannion, who reclassified from 2020, is the No. 17 player in the 2019 class and No. 2 point guard, per 247Sports composite rankings.
The Phoenix native is also listed as the No. 1 recruit in Arizona.
The UA is considered the favorite for the local product. He has unofficially visited several times and all 13 Crystal Ball predictions believe he will call Tucson home in 2019-20.
The 6-foot-3 point guard averaged 23.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.0 steals at Pinnacle High School last season.
