Five-star point guard recruit Nico Mannion will choose between the Arizona Wildcats and Marquette Golden Eagles, he announced Friday on Instagram.
He was previously considering Duke and Villanova as well.
Mannion is set to officially visit the UA on Oct. 19-21 and will unofficially visit on Oct. 14 for the Red-Blue Game, per previous reports. He will officially visit Marquette on Oct. 5-8.
The 6-foot-3 Phoenix native is the No. 15 player in the 2019 class and No. 1 point guard, per 247Sports composite rankings. Arizona is the perceived frontrunner, as 11 of 12 Crystal Ball predictions have Mannion attending the UA. The other pegged him to join Villanova, though that is out of the question now.
Mannion would be a tremendous get for the Wildcats, whose recruiting efforts are still recovering from the FBI investigation into college basketball. Arizona is still looking for its first 2019 commit.
