Highly sought after international recruit Oumar Ballo intends to reclassify to the class of 2019 and lists the Arizona Wildcats among his final three schools, according to a report earlier this week from Evan Daniels of 247sports.
Ballo also lists Gonzaga and Baylor as the other schools pursuing him. Ballo is a 6-foot-10 center hailing from Mali. He told 247sports that he plans to visit Gonzaga in January but has no other scheduled visits.
The recruiting site will move Ballo to a five-star rating once his reclassification is official.
If Ballo were to choose Arizona, he would give the Wildcats additional interior size to what is already the top recruiting class of 2019.
The Wildcats already have one native-African big man committed in Cameroon-born Christian Koloko.
In 2017, Ballo led Mali to its first ever FIBA U16 African Championship.
