Arizona Wildcats forward Cate Reese was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Monday, becoming the first-ever Wildcat to win the nomination twice.
Reese averaged 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals on 58 percent shooting in Arizona’s losses to No. 10 Oregon State and No. 5 Oregon on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
It was a much-needed breakout weekend for Reese, who had been struggling against Pac-12 competition, still getting adjusted to size, speed, and skill of the conference.
