Legendary Arizona Wildcats basketball coach Lute Olson is in good condition after suffering a minor stroke over the weekend, a spokesman for Banner University Medical Center said Monday.

“He is expected to make a full recovery but will likely need some rehabilitation therapy after his discharge from the hospital,” said Dr. David Labiner, chairman of the University of Arizona’s Department of Neurology.

Olson, 84, coached Arizona from 1984-2008 during which he won 589 games along with 11 conference regular-season titles, four conference tournament titles and the 1997 NCAA championship.

A seven-time conference coach of the year, Olson was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
