Former Arizona Wildcats forward Brandon Ashley will play for the Sacramento Kings in NBA Summer League.

The 24-year-old spent the 2018-19 season with APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus where he averaged 11.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3.

This will mark Ashley’s fourth straight year playing in Summer League. He spent the last two years with the Dallas Mavericks’ Summer League squad. The year before that he played for the Atlanta Hawks.

A couple years ago, Ashley played so well in Summer League that he latched on with Dallas for preseason before being cut before the season opener.

The former Wildcat has bounced around the G League and overseas since leaving the UA after his junior season.

The Kings are one of four teams playing in the California Classic Summer League, which begins in Sacramento on July 1 and runs through July 3.

The Kings will then head to Las Vegas Summer League, which kicks off July 5.

Sacramento’s Summer League coach is UA alum Jesse Mermuys, who followed Luke Walton to the Kings after he was fired by the Lakers.
