From one European powerhouse to another.

Derrick Williams will get around $1.5 million (net) from Fenerbahce, I am told.

He will sign a single-season deal with the Turkish powerhouse
Fenerbahce has reached the Final Four of the EuroLeague in four of the past five seasons, including 2016-17 when it won the whole thing. Fenerbahce has also placed first in the Basketball Super League, Turkey’s top league, four of the past five years, though not in 2018-19.
Williams, 28, averaged 12.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with Bayern, shooting 50.4 percent from the field, 37 percent from 3, and 74 percent from the free throw line.
It was his second season playing overseas. In 2017-18, Williams played for the Tianjin Gold Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Before that, the former No. 2 overall pick spent seven seasons in the NBA, including stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Williams was a second-team All-American at Arizona in 2011, the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2010, and a two-time member of the All-Pac-12 First Team before he opted to forgo his final two years of eligibility to enter the NBA Draft.
