Five-star guard Nimari Burnett narrowed his list of preferred schools from 12 to five on Monday, and the Arizona Wildcats did not make the cut.
Burnett’s five finalists are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan Wolverines, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Burnett is the No. 23 player in the 2020 class and No. 5 combo guard, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He also removed UCLA, Stanford, Marquette, Arkansas, Auburn, Illinois, and Wake Forest from consideration.
Burnett released his Top 12 a day before ball-handling wing Dalen Terry committed to Arizona, which may or may not have affected his interest in the Wildcats.
