The Arizona Wildcats still have a lot of work to do on their 2020 recruiting class, having only landed one commitment to this point. But Sean Miller and his staff aren’t solely focused on adding players for next season based on the latest scholarship offer they’ve made.

Peyton Watson, a 4-star small forward from California, is the ninth player Arizona has offered in the Class of 2021, according to 247Sports. And like most of those other prospects, he is among the highest-ranked in the country.

The 6-foot-6 Watson, from Long Beach, is ranked by 247 as the No. 40 player in 2021 as well the ninth-best small forward and No. 3 prospect in California. He has 11 offers, including from Arizona State, Oregon, USC and Utah.

Of the 11 offers Arizona has made to 2021 prospects, nine are in the top 40 including 5-star power forwards Nathan Bittle and JT Thor and 5-star combo guards Devin Askew and Jaden Hardy.
