Arizona Wildcats redshirt senior guard Tee Tee Starks is undergoing left shoulder surgery Thursday and will miss the entire 2019-20 season, according to a UA spokesman.
The injury prevented Starks from making her season debut. She suffered it last season and played through pain the rest of that year, including the WNIT when she was key in the Wildcats’ championship run.
Starks was originally going to leave the UA after graduating after the 2018-19 season, but changed course and opted to return for her redshirt senior season.
The Iowa State transfer played in a career-high 34 games (16 starts) in 2018-19, making 43 percent of her 3s and playing lockdown defense.
The Wildcats were hoping to get more of that in 2019-20. Starks rehabbed and rehabbed but could never get healthy enough to play.
