Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is taking his shimmy to the Twin Cities.
The former Arizona Wildcats standout has signed a free agent deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes.
The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski says it will be a one-year, non-guaranteed deal. (So basically a training camp invite.)
Told that the Timberwolves agreement with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is a training camp deal (non-guaranteed, 1-year deal). That means Jordan McLaughlin is still a possibility as well. Wolves maintaining flexibility.

Minnesota will be the third team in as many season for the 25-year-old Hollis-Jefferson, who spent 2019-20 with the Toronto Raptors after spending his first four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets.
A defensive specialist, Hollis-Jefferson averaged 7.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 60 regular-season games with Toronto, starting six times, but in the NBA Playoffs he saw just 14 minutes of action over five games.
The 6-foot-6, 217-pound wing has started 147 games in five NBA seasons with the Nets drafted him 23rd overall in 2015. Prior to that, Hollis-Jefferson averaged 10.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 76 games with the UA from 2013-15, helping the Wildcats make consecutive Elite Eight appearances.
When he was with the Nets, he was teammates with current Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell, who called RHJ the “heart and soul” of the team.
