Scheduling has been a game of musical chairs for the Arizona Wildcats this season and they announced another change Wednesday.

The Wildcats will now play Eastern Washington on Saturday at noon (on the Pac-12 Network) instead of Northern Colorado. UNC had to pause basketball activities for COVID-related reasons.

Arizona was supposed to play UTEP last Sunday and Colorado on Wednesday but both games were cancelled after both programs paused because of COVID-19. The Wildcats’ season opener vs. NAU on Nov. 25 was called off too, though those schools were able to reschedule for Dec. 7.

Arizona also added a game vs. New Mexico State for Dec. 12.

Eastern Washington is a quality team. The Eagles won the Big Sky last year and were picked to repeat this year.

EWU finished 124th in the country in KenPom last season, and only lost to Washington State by three on Nov. 28. The Eagles led by as many as 13 points in that game and held a five-point lead with 6:57 left.

They played at the 18th-fastest pace in the country last season and hovered around the 120s in offensive and defensive efficiency.
