2022 4-star guard Ramel Lloyd Jr. has Arizona in Top 8

The Arizona Wildcats are one of eight finalists for four-star guard Ramel Lloyd Jr., according to Tipton Edits. The other seven are Oregon, Arkansas, Illinois, Baylor, Washington, Rutgers and Nebraska.

Lloyd is the No. 60 player in 247Sports composite rankings, plus the No. 8 player in California. The 6-foot-6 Southern California now attends Rancho Christian High School in Temecula after beginning his HS career at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California.

Arizona offered Lloyd back on June 25.

“He’s a big guard with a great frame to build on and a nose for the rim,” wrote former Rivals writer Eric Bossi. “He can dance with the ball before breaking down defenders, can play all around the perimeter and makes enough jumpers to keep defenders honest.”

Here are some highlights:

Arizona does not have any 2022 commits yet, but did sign three recruits for 2021. You can read more about that class here.
