The Arizona Wildcats announced Friday that their game against Colorado that was scheduled for Dec. 2 in McKale Center will be made up in Tucson on Monday, Dec. 28.
That’s only three days before the Wildcats are scheduled to begin their road trip to Washington and Washington State, so that will be a long week.
Tip-off time and broadcast information for the Colorado game will be announced at a later date. It had to be postponed because of COVID-19 concerns in the Colorado program. The Buffaloes briefly paused basketball activities, but are now on track to host the Washington State Cougars on Saturday. Clearly they were dodging Arizona. (I’m kidding.)
Colorado is 2-0 with wins over South Dakota and Kansas State.
Arizona’s schedule has been a mess so far, having to replace UTEP and Northern Colorado with New Mexico State and Eastern Washington, as well as having to reschedule its home games against NAU and Colorado. All because those programs have had at least one COVID-19 case.
To this point Arizona has been healthy enough to play.
They’ll return to the court Saturday against Eastern Washington after a week-long hiatus.
