This is going to be far from the usual Easter Sunday, what with the coronavirus keeping everyone at home rather than gathering together in their finest pastels. But it could still be a momentous one for Arizona Wildcats fans, depending on what 5-star wing Ziaire Williams decides to do.
Williams, one of the highest-rated uncommitted players in the Class of 2020 and the top player left on Arizona’s recruiting board, is set to announce his college decision on Sunday.

Arizona is one of seven schools that made Williams’ final list back in August, the others being Duke, North Carolina, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA and USC. He visited the UA in November, the last school he checked out before shutting down his recruiting.
It’s not totally clear who the favorite is. Experts haven’t submitted any new predictions for his decision since the calendar hit 2020. Of the predictions that were made in 2019, five have him choosing USC, three have him picking Arizona and one has him going to Stanford.
The 6-foot-7 Williams is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 5 player in the 2020 class, the top small forward and the third-best player for California. He prepped at Sierra Canyon, the same school the UA got Christian Koloko from. This past season he was teammates with Bronny James and Zaire Wade, the sons of NBA greats LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Williams would be a key addition to an Arizona team that currently only has nine players locked up for the 2020-21 season. The only wing currently on the roster is incoming freshman Dalen Terry.
