The Arizona Wildcats have landed players from all over the globe during Adia Barnes’ tenure, but this time they nabbed one close to home.
Phoenix native Madison Conner committed to the Wildcats on Monday, becoming the first member of their 2021 recruiting class.
The 5-foot-11 guard is an all-state player from Perry High School in Gilbert. ProspectsNation ranks her as the No. 56 recruit and No. 13 point guard in her class.
As a junior, Conner averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3. Almost half of her 453 field-goal attempts were 3s, as she’s one of the best shooters in her class.
Arizona offered Conner in September 2017, the first school to do so. She will be a freshman at the UA in 2021-22, the year after Aari McDonald graduates.
