Former Arizona women’s basketball player Dominique McBryde has found a new professional home overseas, signing with VBW Cekk Cegled in Hungary.
LivOn Global Sports Management, McBrydge’s agency, announced the signing on an Instagram Stories post.
VBW Cekk Cegled competes in Hungary’s premier women’s basketball league, Nemzeti Bajnoksag I/A. The team also competes in the EuroCup, the highest level of competition in Europe.
McBryde originally signed a training camp deal with the WNBA’s LA Sparks but was released when the league began trimming rosters ahead of a shortened regular season.
McBryde, who began her career at Purdue, averaged 7.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game in two years at Arizona.
Her defense and perimeter shooting was instrumental in helping the Wildcats go 24-7 in 2019-20.
