Ryan Luther advances in The Basketball Tournament, will face Nick Johnson in second round

If you’re looking for some basketball to watch, Thursday presents an interesting matchup for Arizona Wildcats fans. Former forward Ryan Luther and guard Nick Johnson will be squaring off in the second round of The Basketball Tournament at 2 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Luther’s team, Herd That, mostly a collection of former Marshall players, took down the Peoria All-Stars 80-65 on Sunday. Luther had seven points, five rebounds, and three blocks in 19 minutes.

Johnson’s squad, The Money Team, sponsored by legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, is the No. 7 overall seed and had a first-round bye.

TBT is a 24-team, single elimination tournament taking place in Columbus, Ohio. The winning club will divvy up a $1 million prize. The full bracket can be found here.
