Arizona’s home finale vs. ASU moved to Jan. 25

NCAA Basketball: Arizona State at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Anyone up for a home-and-home Territorial Cup?

The Arizona Wildcats announced Monday its home game against ASU, originally set to be the regular-season finale on March 6, will now be played Jan. 25 at McKale Center.

Tip time is 9 p.m. MST and the game will be shown on ESPN2.

The change means Arizona (10-3, 4-3 Pac-12) will play two consecutive games against ASU (4-6, 1-3). The Sun Devils host the Wildcats at 7 p.m. MST Thursday on ESPN.

The schedule change leaves the final week of the regular season open for both Arizona and ASU, which have one and four conference games to make up due to contests postponed because of COVID-19 issues.

Arizona's Jan. 16 game at Oregon has yet to be rescheduled. The Ducks just returned to practice Monday after going on a COVID pause.

It also means, as of now, Arizona's home finale—and, presumably, its Senior Day event—is Feb. 27 vs. Washington.

Here's Arizona's updated schedule, with TV and tip times where applicable:

  • Thursday at ASU (7 p.m. MST, ESPN)
  • Jan. 25 vs. ASU (9 p.m. MST, ESPN2)
  • Jan. 28 vs. Stanford (9 p.m. MST, ESPN2/U)
