The Atlanta Hawks have decided to guarantee former Arizona Wildcats standout Solomon Hill’s contract through the rest of the 2020-21 season, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The Hawks signed Hill to a one-year $2.1M contract this past November, a little more than a month after the veteran forward reached the 2020 NBA Finals with the Miami Heat.

Hill is averaging 5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game for Atlanta and has played in all 14 of the Hawks’ games. He is averaging 20.1 minutes, which is eighth most on the team.

At 29 years old, Hill is one of the more experienced players on a Hawks roster led by Trae Young, De’Andre Hunter, and John Collins.

The Los Angeles native has carved out the longest NBA tenure of any Sean Miller-coached Arizona player. By the end of this season, Hill will have made approximately $54 million in career earnings.
