The Arizona Wildcats were looking to get back on the court after struggling down the stretch of Friday’s win over Utah, but it will be a long turnaround.

Sunday’s home game vs. the Colorado Buffaloes has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 protocols within the Arizona program, the UA announced Saturday afternoon.

That means Arizona’s next scheduled game is Friday, Jan. 29 at USC.

“The news of the cancellation is very disappointing to student-athletes, coaches and fans,” the UA said in a statement. “However, health and safety must remain our top priorities as we move forward.”

It is the second Pac-12 game Arizona has had postponed this season, the other being the Jan. 8 road game at Washington. However, that was due to COVID-19 issues within the UW program.

The Wildcats are 11-2 overall and 9-2 in the Pac-12, good for first place in the ultra-competitive conference. They are one game ahead of Stanford in the win column.
