Watch: Arizona shares highlights of secret scrimmage vs. Saint Mary’s

Arizona held a secret scrimmage against Saint Mary’s on Saturday, giving head coach Tommy Lloyd his first look at the Wildcats in a game-like setting.

Neither fans nor media were allowed to attend, and no stats from the scrimmage were shared. The UA did send a videographer to capture some of the highlights, as seen below.

Among the Wildcats to appear in the highlights are Kerr Kriisa, Christian Koloko, Benn Mathurin, Dalen Terry and Justin Kier.

Kriisa’s step-back 3-pointer at the 40-second mark might be the most impressive moment from the video.

Saint Mary's is a familiar opponent for Lloyd, who coached against the Gaels at least least twice a year in West Coast Conference play during his 20-plus seasons as an assistant at Gonzaga.

It won’t be long until fans are allowed to see Arizona in action.

The Wildcats host Eastern New Mexico in an exhibition Monday Nov. 1 at 7:00 p.m. MST.

Arizona officially opens the season against NAU Tuesday Nov. 9 at 8:30 MST. Both games will be aired on Pac-12 Network.
