Like the AP, the coaches placed five Pac-12 teams in their initial Top 25, but they didn’t follow the same pattern as the media. Defending national champion Stanford is ranked second behind South Carolina. Oregon is the second Pac-12 team in the top 10, coming in at No. 9.
UCLA ranks just ahead of Arizona at No. 14, while Oregon State comes in at No. 18. Washington State and Colorado are receiving votes, coming in at No. 37 and No. 41, respectively.
The Wildcats will play their second exhibition game of the season against Arizona Christian on Friday, Nov. 5. They will tip off the season for real on Tuesday, Nov. 9 by hosting CSU Northridge.
