Kerr Kriisa recently put his name in the transfer portal, but so far signs point to him returning to the Arizona Wildcats next season.
The freshman was in attendance at the team’s first workout under new head coach Tommy Lloyd, evidenced by this picture posted on the program’s official Twitter page.

That would be big news for the Wildcats, who need guards after James Akinjo entered the transfer portal (after declaring for the NBA Draft) and 2021 signee K.J. Simpson reopened his recruitment after receiving his release following the firing of Sean Miller.
The Wildcats are also recruiting four-star point guard TyTy Washington hard, with Lloyd reportedly FaceTiming him twice a day. Not only is Washington the top uncommitted point guard left on the board, he is from Arizona, attending Phoenix’s AZ Compass Prep. His other finalists are Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU and Oregon.
Other players in attendance at that workout include (but aren’t limited to):
- Christian Koloko
- Bennedict Mathurin
- Azuolas Tubelis
- Dalen Terry
- Tibet Gorener
- Tautvilas Tubelis
- Jordan Mains
- Grant Weitman
Tubelis and Mathurin are notable since they are coming off strong seasons and have pro potential.
Here’s some footage from that workout:
