Tommy Lloyd was known for his international recruiting at Gonzaga, and it appears the Arizona Wildcats are targeting a 2021 guard from France.

According to his 247Sports profile, Adama Bal picked up an offer from Arizona on May 4. The 6-foot-6, 180-pound swingman attends French sports institute (INSEP) in Paris, the same program that Gonzaga guard Joel Ayayi came out of.

Bal also holds offers from other major-conference schools like Cincinnati, Colorado, Georgia and Marquette. While he is not ranked, he plays for the French youth national team and is considered by some to have first-round potential.

“The 2021 prospect is impressive physically, standing 6-foot-6 and equipped with a 6-11 wingspan,” former 247Sports analyst Evan Daniels wrote of Bal. “He’s versatile, quick and a shot-maker. Bal said he studies and models his game after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Damian Lillard and Tyrese Haliburton.”

Should Bal join the Wildcats, he would become the fourth French speaker on the roster, the other three being Christian Koloko, Bennedict Mathurin, and Oumar Ballo.

Arizona needs players right now, with only eight of their 13 scholarship slots filled for the 2020-21 season.
