The Arizona Wildcats boosted their point guard position this week, landing a commitment from 2021 prospect Addison Arnold, who will join the program as a walk-on.
The 6-foot-3 Arnold attended Royal High School in Simi Valley, California, where he averaged 22.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game as a senior, earning First Team All Ventura County and First Team All Coastal Canyon League honors.
That was after Arnold recovered from “extensive surgery on both ankles to repair torn ligaments that were creating chronic sprains,” according to a story in the Ventura County Star.
While walk-ons have rarely ever played for Arizona, the Wildcats could use some help at the point guard position where Kerr Kriisa is the only true point on the roster, though Utah transfer Pelle Larsson and Georgia transfer Justin Kier will get their crack at that position too.
Here are some of Arnold’s from February 20 when he had 32 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against Agoura.
