Arizona last faced Texas during the 2019-20 season when they went to Austin and obliterated the then-No. 22 ranked Longhorns, 83-58. Former UA guard Aari McDonald broke UA’s single-game scoring record with 44 points.
Texas was supposed to visit Tucson in 2020-21 to complete the home-and-home series, but that game was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Other notable games on Arizona’s 2021-22 non-conference schedule: a neutral site tilt vs. Louisville in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Nov. 12 and the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands from Nov. 25-27, which will pit the Wildcats against teams like Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, DePaul, Northwestern, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and South Dakota.
