5-star shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe announces commitment date

FIBA

Five-star shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe will announce his college destination Tuesday Sept. 7 at 4 p.m. MST.

Sharpe is coming off an official visit to Arizona this past weekend but it’s unlikely that the trip to Tucson tilted his recruitment in favor of UA.

By Monday, the 6-foot-4, 175-pound shooting guard was visiting Kentucky, his second trip to Lexington this summer.

Sharpe’s other suitors include Kansas, Oklahoma State and the G-League. All eight 247 Crystal Ball projections have him going to Kentucky.

Sharpe is the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2022 class according to 247 Sports and plays for Dream City Christian High School in Glendale.

If Sharpe does indeed choose Kentucky, he’ll be the second in-state recruit to pick BBN over Arizona this year, joining class of 2021 point guard TyTy Washington.
