Simon has been an assistant with the parent club since 2017, specializing in player development. Before that, he was an assistant at Arizona from 2005-08.
Of course, Simon is most known for leading the Wildcats to their one and only national championship as a player in 1997. Simon was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player. His No. 34 jersey is currently retired by Arizona.
Fellow Arizona Ring of Honor member Jason Terry is also a head coach in the G League. He recently left his Arizona assistant coaching job to lead the Nuggets’ affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold.
