Five-star guard KK Bransford has the Arizona Wildcats among her finalists, she told Balln Prep on Instagram. She is also considering UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
Bransford visited Arizona a couple weeks ago. She’s also taken an official visit to UCLA.
The Cincinnati native is the No. 14 prospect in the 2022 class, according to ESPN’s rankings. The 5-foot-10 Bransford averaged 21.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.0 steals as a junior at Mount Notre Dame High School. She shot 52 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3.
Here is what ESPN’s Max Olson wrote of her after the Classic in the Country Challenge in January 2020:
Versatile, physical guard exploits mismatches, finishes plays through contact; displays soft touch in mid-range game; powers to the rim, scores in traffic and cashes in at the stripe; consistent mid-range production.
Arizona’s 2022 class should be monstrous whether or not it lands Bransford. The Wildcats already have commitments from five-star post Maya Nnaji and four-star guard Kailyn Gilbert, and are in the running for five-star guard Kiki Rice, five-star post Grace VanSlooten, four-star forward Sa’Myah Smith and four-star center Kennedy Basham, among others.
