Former Arizona Wildcats forward Aaron Gordon suffered dog bites to his shooting hand and face on Christmas Day, leaving the Denver Nuggets star out indefinitely.

“Aaron is in good condition and will remain away from the team while he recovers,” the Nuggets said in a statement.

The Nuggets played Christmas night against the Golden State Warriors. Gordon scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds in the 120-114 Nuggets victory.

Gordon, in his third full year with Denver, is averaging 13.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists. Gordon is shooting a career-high 56.3% from the field.
