Arizona football recruiting: JUCO transfer Jerod Cody commits to Wildcats

The Arizona Wildcats received a commitment from a defensive end from Glendale Community College on Tuesday.

USA TODAY Sports

Rich Rodriguez and the Arizona Wildcats football program received a commitment from Glendale Community College prospect Jerod Cody, a 6-foot-3, 265 pound defensive end who attended Las Vegas' Centennial High School.

Scout.com's Jason Jewell first reported the commitment.

At SleeperPrep.com, Cody is the 38th ranked JUCO player in his class. Here's the website's brief summary of his game.

An intense, powerful, defensive end who understands gap-coverage. Jerod is pretty solid in pass rushing, and run-stopping making him a well-balanced prospect. Often forces the ball carrier back inside containing the edge.

Cody had offers from Hawaii, New Mexico and Wyoming. He is listed as atwo-star prospect, according to Scout.com.
